Author’s Note: I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, and while at the store a couple of weeks ago I picked up a greatest hits CD by a country artist by the name of Bryan White. One of the songs has grown on me so much, that I keep telling myself “There’s a story in here…” and now that I’ve had some free time I’ve been able to get it onto paper, and here I thought it was going to be easy, boy was I wrong. Song Information: It’s called “the Way You Look At Me” and is written by Scott Emerick and John Tirro.
Willow awoke slowly, surrounded in warmth, and a gentle pressure around her middle, she looked down to see Tara’s arm resting on her stomach. She turned around and looked at Tara while she slept. Gladness filled her heart whenever she had the opportunity to wake before her love did. She was able to gaze into Tara’s face and see the peacefulness etched upon it. Finding that she couldn’t resist the temptation any longer, Willow bent forward and placed a kiss on Tara’s lips. “Mmm…good morning,” Tara said sleepily, as she slowly opened her eyes.
Your beautiful eyes…
Sparkle like two diamonds on fire. “Morning,” Willow said smiling.
Why am I still surprised…
At the way they make me feel “Love you,” Tara whispered before returning the brief kiss she had awoken to. Willow marveled at the emotions those words could create in her body. And when they finally parted, Willow saw love shining in Tara’s eyes, and knew that her eyes reflected the same emotion.
I thought I could get no higher…
You showed me a whole new deal. Willow marveled at the heights her love for the other woman took her. She thought she had a special relationship with Oz but whenever she looked at Tara…she shook her head. She couldn’t put what she felt into words, they were so strong and deep it defied imagination.
It’s not the way you look…
Even though Heaven knows…
You’re a sight to see As they languished in each other’s arms, Willow hoped that Tara would one day realize how beautiful she truly was.
It’s not the way you look…
It’s the way you look at me.
It’s not the way you look…
It’s the way you look at me. Tara smiled, and hugged Willow tighter, trying to infuse her with the love she felt. She heard Willow’s breath catch and wondered briefly if she had squeezed too tightly. Then she felt Willow’s hands slide underneath her t–shirt, sending tendril of desire through her body.
Most any old time…
Could be a special occasion Willow could not think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning then in Tara’s arms.
“Will…” Tara called out, turning around and finding that Willow was standing right beside her.
Just call me and I?m…
Already halfway there “Yes,” Willow replied, loving the look on Tara’s face as she smiled indulgently. “I thought you make like to go out for a walk, or something?” Tara explained.
You choose the destination…
I’ll go with you anywhere. “Anywhere you want to go, I’m there,” Willow answered.
It’s not the way you look…
Even though Heaven knows…
You’re a sight to see Tara shook her head; she sometimes wondered what she did to get that special look that Willow would give her. It was as if the world disappeared leaving just the two of them behind. She knew she would never trade that feeling for anything in the world.
It’s not the way you look…
It’s the way you look at me.
Like I’m all you ever wanted…
Me to be They strolled hand in hand down the path that led to the park, stealing glances at each other when they thought the other wasn’t looking.
It’s not the way you look…
Even though Heaven knows…
You’re a sight to see They had spent the entire day together, which in itself was a rarity. They knew they had to make time for themselves otherwise they’d never have a chance. Not with some new badies coming into town and making everyone’s life miserable.
“I had a wonderful time today,” Willow said as she slid underneath the covers. “So did I,” Tara replied, waiting to feel Willow next to her. As they settled down for the night, they talked into the night, recalling something funny, or exchanging kisses, just for the sake of being able to.
It’s not the way you look…
It’s the way you look at me.
It’s not the way you look…
It’s the way you look at me. And before eyes finally closed for the night, they gave each other a look that conveyed what they felt for one another. A silent I love you.. The End.
